Austria

The prohibition to used rafts on some rivers especially in region Carinthia. You must have a local licence. You obtain it by exam and next terms from regional office. The raft exception- rivers Teichl, Steyr, Moll, Enns in upper part Radstad - Schladming. There is not problem with boat of type kanu (max. 3 persons) or kayaks. Thaya	limited	Prohibition is from Bernhardsthal and between town Frain - Znaim (national park). Between town Waidhofen - Drosendorf ship is open only 1.3. - 15.6. with minimum water level - Waidhofen 55cm, from Raabs 40cm (gauge Schwarzenau)
Kamp	limited	actual water level may not be under 175 cm in part Roiten - Zwettl (gauge Zwettl Bahnbrücke 6.6 m3/s!) and part Wegscheid - Rosenburg under 5 m3/s!

Croatia

The prohibition to used rafts on all rivers exclusive of licence IRF. There is not problem with boat of type kanu or kayaks.

England

Some rivers are navigable only in winter (October - February), else is prohibition because of fishes. Some rivers are private with full prohibition - better to ask local paddlers club.

France

The prohibition to used rafts on all rivers. You must have a local licence. You obtain it by exam and next terms from region office. There is not problem with boat of type kanu or kayaks. Next time prohibition are a few rivers in region Jura, Vogez and more - only in winter. Some rivers are restriction because of fishermans - only some days in week.

German

The prohibition to used rafts on some rivers. Some rivers are navigable only in winter (else prohibition) in region Schwarzwald and Arden. More kanu.de.

Italy

The prohibition to used rafts. The rivers Eisack, Rienza, Ahr, Mareit, Passer and Etsch only with licence - you obtain it from Dr. Bruno Duranke, Bozen tel: 0471414640-1, fax 0471-414659 - Rafting Vipiteno. There is not problem with boat of type kanu or kayaks.

Norway

Some rivers are private and used only for fishes - limited ship with disinfect boats, ale penalty (2000 norway crowns per boat)

Slovak Republic

Slovenia

A prohibition ship on the rivers in national Triglav park, except river Soca and Koritnica - you must pay a fee. Another rivers in park (for example Idrijca) and closed for paddlers. The rivers out of park without limitation.

Spain

Some rivers are limited because of fishmen in Pyrenees - only some days from week are permit for paddlers. Some rivers are navigable only in winter in region north from Cordilierra Cantabrica to Biskay - after 31.3. prohibition. Inland rivers are without limits.

Srbia - Cerna Gora

Payment for ship in canyon of river Tara (cca 250 Euro raft, 130 Euro kayak)

Swiss

Some rivers are limited because of fishmen - only some days from week are permit for paddlers.

Ukraine
